Dear visitor, my name is Ivan Mora Perez, I’m from Barcelona, Spain and I was born on May the 12th of 1991. The IT was my passion from very young and along my career I had the opportunity to learn from other big IT professionals who have helped me a lot on my journey to the knowledge, which I take this opportunity to thank all of them.

    Dude, i need your help. be follower your blog a few month and i have to implement one of two thing, or install a captive portal for acces autentication or install xen on debian with a monowall machine, i read your post of freeradius but i miss something, the part of portal captive. could you get deeper on one of this themes?

      What do you need exactly? There are many ways to implement a portal captive. You can use pfsense a FreeBSD distribution that include a web interface and you can manage the portal captive in the service section and use FreeRadius with LDAP or MySQL to authenticate the users that will access.

    What I like to do is implement a captive portal on debian, basically need a group of users to authenticate to access internet.

      Okey, if you want to install a captive portal from an existing installation I found wifidog, in the official website there are the steps to configure in a debian server: http://dev.wifidog.org/wiki/doc/install/debian/auth-server It’s easy to install and you can configure with radius authentication. If you try it explain to me your experience!!!

        all ready with the captive portal, is a headache but I am writing a small “howto”, of Debian Squeeze 6.05 amd64 + freeradius 2.1.10 + mysql 14.14 + daloradius 0.9.9 + coova-chilli 1.2.9.
        when is ready i sent it, but is necessary upload some packages that i build.

      I didn’t work too much with ipv6 but I’ll dedicate some posts about the integration with it
